Been in an accident? Here's what to do.
Take a breath. Follow these steps at the scene, then hand the rest to us: we tow the car, put you in a loaner, open the claim with you and handle the insurance company.
At the scene
- Get safeIf you can, move to the shoulder or a parking lot and turn on your hazard lights. Check everyone for injuries. Call 911 if anyone is hurt or a vehicle can't be moved.
- Call the police if neededIf police respond, ask for the officer's name and the report number.
- Exchange informationGet the other driver's name, phone, insurance company and policy number, license plate, and vehicle make and model. Take a photo of their insurance card.
- Take photosPhotograph all vehicles from a few steps back and up close, the license plates, and the scene. More photos help your claim.
- Stick to the factsDon't argue about who was at fault. Tell the police and the insurance companies what happened.
After the accident
- Open a claimCall your insurance company, or the other driver's if they were at fault, and write down the claim number.
- Tell them where your car is goingIn Arizona you choose the repair shop. Tell the adjuster: "I want my car repaired at Best Deal Auto Body Shop, 5511 N 51st Ave, Suites 108 & 109, Glendale, (602) 754-8315."
- Get a photo estimateUpload a few photos and see a preliminary price range for three repair levels in about a minute.
- Bring it in, or we come get itCheck in online, then drop the car off any day, 7 AM to 6 PM. Or choose pickup and we come to you within 20 miles. If it isn't safe to drive, we send a tow truck. Ask for a loaner and skip the rental.
If you're hurt
- See a doctor todayEven if you feel fine. Neck, back and head injuries often show up a day or two later, and a same-day visit documents that the injury came from the crash.
- Keep everythingPhotos, the police report number, medical bills, time missed from work, and the other driver's insurance information.
- Don't give a recorded statement yetThe other driver's insurance company may call quickly. You can politely say you'll call back. You are not required to give a recorded statement to their insurer.
- Talk to a lawyer if you want toInjury claims are separate from the car repair. If you'd like a law firm to call you, we can refer you. Best Deal is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

Common questions
Do I have to use the shop my insurance recommends?
No. In Arizona you choose where your car is repaired. Insurance companies can recommend shops, but the choice is yours.
The other driver was at fault. Who pays?
File with the other driver's insurance company. If they accept the claim, they pay for the repair and you generally don't pay a deductible.
My car isn't safe to drive. What do I do?
Call us at (602) 754-8315. Towing to our shop is included when we repair your car.
Can I get a car while mine is being fixed?
Your policy may include a rental; ask your insurance company. We also have an optional loaner for $35 a day.
Send a few photos. We'll take it from there.
Upload pictures of the damage for a preliminary price range, or call and talk to someone at the shop.
