Alignment

Hitting a curb, a pothole or another car knocks the wheels out of line even when the body looks fine. We measure the alignment on every collision repair that touched a wheel, and fix it before you get the keys back.

What it involves

An alignment after an accident is more than adjusting toe. We check for bent control arms, tie rods, knuckles and cradle shift first, because you can't align a bent part. Anything bent is documented and goes on the insurance estimate.

You can also come in for an alignment on its own: new tires, a pull, uneven wear, or a steering wheel that sits crooked. You'll get the before-and-after printout.

Signs you need it

  • The car pulls left or right on a flat road
  • The steering wheel is off center when you drive straight
  • Tires wearing on one edge
  • You hit a curb or pothole hard, or the car was in a collision

Common questions

Does insurance pay for an alignment after an accident?

If the alignment is part of the collision damage, yes, it goes on the estimate with the rest of the repair.

How long does an alignment take?

About an hour on its own. As part of a collision repair it's done before the final road test.

Do you check suspension parts too?

Yes. Bent parts are found and replaced first; an alignment can't correct a bent control arm or tie rod.

Deductible assistance

Don't let the deductible hold up the repair.

For many drivers the deductible is the hardest part of an accident. Ask about deductible assistance: on qualifying repairs we can reduce what you pay out of pocket by up to $1,000, and you see the exact amount in writing before work starts.

Assistance is a discount on our side of the repair. We never inflate an estimate or bill your insurer for your deductible. Eligibility depends on the repair and your policy.

  1. Tell us your deductibleShare the collision or comprehensive deductible on your policy.
  2. We review the repairOnce the estimate is approved, we see what we can take off.
  3. You get it in writingYour out-of-pocket amount is on paper before we start.

Send a few photos. We'll take it from there.

Upload pictures of the damage for a preliminary price range, or call and talk to someone at the shop.
