Frame & Unibody Straightening

Most modern cars do not have a separate frame. The body itself is the structure, so a hard hit can shift mounting points that the suspension, doors and airbags depend on.

What it involves

We measure the structure against the manufacturer's dimensions, pull damaged areas back into place, and measure again to confirm. Sections that cannot be straightened safely are replaced following the repair procedures for your vehicle.

A car that is straight on the outside but off underneath will wear tires, pull and leave gaps that never close. Measuring is how we make sure that does not happen.

Signs you need it

  • Uneven gaps around doors, hood or trunk
  • The car pulls or tires wear unevenly after an accident
  • Doors that are hard to open or close
  • Visible kinks in the rails under the hood or trunk floor

Common questions

Is a car with frame damage a total loss?

Not necessarily. Many vehicles with structural damage are repaired correctly. Your insurer decides on total loss based on repair cost and vehicle value.

How do I know the frame is straight after the repair?

We measure before and after and keep the measurements in your repair file.

Deductible assistance

Don't let the deductible hold up the repair.

For many drivers the deductible is the hardest part of an accident. Ask about deductible assistance: on qualifying repairs we can reduce what you pay out of pocket by up to $1,000, and you see the exact amount in writing before work starts.

Assistance is a discount on our side of the repair. We never inflate an estimate or bill your insurer for your deductible. Eligibility depends on the repair and your policy.

  1. Tell us your deductibleShare the collision or comprehensive deductible on your policy.
  2. We review the repairOnce the estimate is approved, we see what we can take off.
  3. You get it in writingYour out-of-pocket amount is on paper before we start.

Send a few photos. We'll take it from there.
