Scratch & Scuff Repair
Some scratches only cut the clear coat and polish out. Others go through the color and need to be refinished. The fingernail test is a good first check: if your nail catches, it is probably through the clear.
What it involves
Light scuffs and paint transfer from another car can often be corrected with compounding and polishing. Deeper scratches are sanded, filled where needed and refinished, then blended so the panel matches.
Send a close photo and one from a step back. That is usually enough for us to tell you which kind of repair you are looking at.
